Compatibility Help
To check compatibility, first confirm your switch model and supported transceiver types in the vendor’s datasheet (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, HPE). Then match it against the part number and specifications of the transceiver—such as data rate, wavelength, connector type, and DOM support. At Fyber Optix, we maintain an up-to-date compatibility matrix covering thousands of switch models across major brands. You can also reach out to our team with your switch model, and we’ll verify compatibility for you—free of charge.

Technical Support
My device isn't recognizing the optic – what do I do?
If your switch/router doesn’t detect the transceiver:
- Power cycle the device or reseat the optic.
- Clean the optic and fiber ports using proper cleaning tools.
- Ensure you’re using the correct coding (vendor compatibility) for your device model.
- Try another port or known-good transceiver to isolate the issue.
Are there firmware or diagnostic compatibility issues?
Yes — some vendors (especially Cisco, HPE, Juniper) enforce firmware restrictions or diagnostic checks that may block third-party optics unless coded properly.
We ensure our optics pass:
- Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM)
- Vendor-specific diagnostics
- Firmware handshake requirements
Still, some latest firmware updates may block generics. If that happens, we’ll help you find a compatible version or provide an updated optic.
Do you offer remote support?
Yes! We provide free remote technical support via: Email: support@fyberoptix.com WhatsApp or Phone:
Remote Access (on request): TeamViewer, AnyDesk, or Zoom for real-time help
